- an 'upgrade' of Web 2.0 (uses it as a platform)
- high quality content
- Semantic web is a part of Web 3.0
- more user generated content
- more 'intelligent' than Web 2.0
- the result of self published data on internet will be better
- more focused on data
- making the internet smarter
- more focused on social web, ie. social networks and applications
- will allow machines to read web pages almost as well as humans can in terms of what the user is looking for
- search engines will be more efficient as a result
I think from reading up on both, Web 3.0 is basically an extension, upgrade, improvement of Web 2.0, but the Semantic web is weaved into and part of Web 3.0.

Alyson,
This post reads slighly unusually with the way you've listed the points - it would have been useful for you to include details of where you've gained your information from. I think you seem to have got the main points though. Perhaps you could do a little more work on the semantic web to gain a better understanding?
All the best
Emma
